Brendan Eich was the CEO at Mozilla until it was discovered that he donated $1,000 to support Prop 8 in California. You’ll recall Prop 8 outlawed homosexual marriage in that state. It won of course, a majority of Californians supported outlawing such “marriages.” The progressive left however will not tolerate any dissent on this issue. As such they utilized classic Saul Alinsky tactics against Eich, threatening Mozilla with protests and boycotts. The fear of the negative publicity the progressives can drum up was enough for the company to send Eich on his way. In America today silence is enforced through the boot of progressive fascists and their threats of protest, isolation and media smearing.
The media has portrayed this issue as rather heroic. After all, we’re told Silicon Valley is extremely liberal and shouldn’t be expected to tolerate someone who opposes homosexual marriages. In reality a majority of people donating on the Prop 8 issue at every Silicon Valley Fortune 500 in existence at the time donated to the pro-traditional marriage side. At Intel alone, 60% of the employees who donated money opposed homosexual marriage. In other words, it simply isn’t true that opposition to homosexual marriage is shocking in Silicon Valley.
Of course the media isn’t going to report Nate Silver’s donation analysis. Doing as such destroys the narrative that Silicon Valley is extremely liberal and it’s to be expected that they would be intolerant of anyone who disagrees with their heroic position on homosexual marriage. The mainstream press clearly supports homosexual marriage and they aren’t at all troubled by the Eich witch hunt. Their message is clear, if you oppose homosexual marriage with your pen, your mouth or your wallet they will allow you to be destroyed. They will not suggest the homosexual agenda is behaving in an extreme manner, they will not report that others oppose homosexual marriage. They will isolate, ridicule and destroy anyone who opposes the radical homosexual agenda. The Eich situation made it clear to everyone, oppose these people and you will be destroyed.
If you have read Saul Alinsky’s book Rules For Radicals, what happened to Eich is basically laid out in detail in this book. Alinsky wrote the book in the 60’s and his examples are more focused on inner city race relations and union activity than anything else. The subject matter has changed but the tactic are identical. The goal is identical as well, the few will intimidate the majority into silence by threatening embarrassment, isolation and ridicule. Rather than standing for what’s right, Mozilla caved almost immediately. Rather than standing up for what he believes, Eich disappeared. If he reappears, it will be after he’s been reeducated by the progressive left. Only with their approval will he be allowed back in polite society.
For those laughing at the notion of Christian persecution in this country, it’s clear the progressive fascists have every intention of silencing opposition. That means, specifically, silencing Christians and others who oppose the radical homosexual agenda. Anyone in any position of power is on notice, the radical left will destroy you if you dare to oppose homosexual marriage. Your donation to Prop 8 of $1,000 a decade ago can and will be used against you. That a majority of people in your industry also supported Prop 8 doesn’t matter. The left will target Christians in power until it weeds them out or otherwise silences them. The message is clear to aspiring CEO’s, remain silent or be destroyed. One wonders how long it will take before the progressives demand open support for the homosexual agenda rather than mere silence.
